Anyone have any experience with a CARACAL? Let me know both good and bad. Rob Pincus say's it is a good gun, but I want more opinions.

    Thanks Sheepdogs!

Don't own one, but have shot the Full-Size (F Model). I liked it Alot!!! The high-grip, low-slide really lowers the barrel axis making the Caracal a very comfortable shooter. For me, the Caracal felt like an enhanced Glock. Not surprising really. The brilliant striker-fired pistol designer, Wilhelm Bubits, of Glock and Steyr pistol design fame, is responsible for the Caracal's design. With the Caracal, Mr. Bubits set out to improve on his previous striker-fired pistol designs. Only time will tell if this goal has been achieved.

They're very reasonably priced and designed for rugged reliability. The Caracal is already in use by military, police, and security units all over the world.

My ONLY concern at the present time would be access to reliable customer service, when and if needed, in the USA.

And just in case anyone is wondering, the U.A.E.(United Arab Emirates), where the Caracal is produced has been a strong ally of the USA since the 70s.

The pistol takes it's name, "Caracal", from the fierce wildcat native to Asia and Africa.

Thanks Jim for the info. I am going to go on Rob's test and order one. I called three gun shops in my area and they said "what brand of pistol did you say"...so I can't get one locally. I will report back with my opinion.

I think it only comes in 9mm now, but I will do some research and let the group know.
