I knew it was coming, just figured Bebo would be the first.

If you were raised in the south you would know how to catch and hold them...even if they had a quart of 10W-30 on them.
Now back to the technical stuff, this product was developed by the Navy SEALS and not offered to the public until recently. The chemical supposedly penetrates the gun surfaces which makes it easier to clean after very hard abuse (water, mud, blood, etc).

I just heard of it yesterday at my CWP course. The instructor does a lot of competition shooting and was recommending it.

Since the origional post, I tried Frog Lube...it is fantastic stuff! All of guns have now been frog lubbed. I will never go back to petroleum based chemicals and cleaning now takes less than a minute per gun.

New guy we hired at the shop is a FFL, instructor and custom gun builder and does class III. He is also a dealer of Frog Lube, I have tried the action of several of his guns that have been lubricated with the stuff, can't wait to get some and do my own. I am sold and haven't even tried it for myself.
Next Sunday I am going to his place to assist in building 5 custom 1911's and then doing some full auto shooting....I know this week will fly by! Hopefully I can bag a few hogs and fill the freezer too.
He also has a laser engraver and a CNC machine to do custom fluting among other things, I am going to get to trick out a few of my guns.

Nothing like having a friendly connection in the gunsmithing world. If he eats hog I'd fill his freezer too.

I have been reading on the Sig forums where this miracle stuff is causing major problems and a lot of users are now turning against it. Seems it has gummed up after becoming warm at the range and has caused some guns to fail. I never buy into such hype to begin with. The stuff is very expensive and time consuming to apply and I have yet had anyone to tell me the benefits of it over any other lube.
