Default Rants, rave, and a soapbox.

I reserve the right to add to or take away from the following as I try to find better ways to express myself. In other words this is a work in progress. Please excuse typos and spellos as this is stream of thought and will try to clean it up at some point.

I am proud to be a WASP, as everyone should be proud of their heritage. I am proud to be an American. I am a vet Vietnam era and no I am not going to tell you about my experances.

I will say that tens of thousands of men gave their lives, tens of thousands more wounded mentally and physically, over a million family members affected by boys returning as men or not returning at all from Southeast Asia. The purpose of these war games was to stop the spread of communism (or so we were told). Now we seem bent on a headlong rush toward a thing called socialism. Socialism, isn't that just an easy to digest way of saying communism? So much for the sacrifices by a generation of American youth. We were young once too.

I am not a conspiracy theorist but I do know our government lies; ask the American Indian, ask the Filipino who thought they had a chance to self govern under T.R. Ask the black Americas who were used as test subjects. But then it is not the government that makes the U.S.A. great its the people in spite of the government.

    More to come.....

    Keep going!

It is ironic that we fought a war in SE Asia with over 50,000 dead and those in power now do not have a problem with socialism, communism or the radical Islamists who want us dead, plain and simple. I'd say it was all unbelievable but we've been living it for almost four years and have been leading up to it for decades

    Default Continued

I would not want to have lived next door to the tribunal during the Spanish Inquisition, I would not want to have run afoul of the Stalin purges, Pol Pot is not someone I would have wanted in my hood. (more on them later) I don't want a mosque next door. I tend not to jaywalk on interstates either it's just common sense.

Pol Pot: the purges in Cambodia took place not against a race or religious group or even political party it was against the educated. Fully one third of the population of Cambodia was exterminated by the Khmer Rouge. The government in charge went from house to house demanding weapons be turned over. The troops went so far as to say you don't need guns we are here to protect you.

The purges of Stalin became possable after gun control laws were passed in 1929; offical estimates claim 20 million killed. Personally I think that is short by about 80 million.

The next time someone brings up gun control ask them who they want to exterminate.

You frequently hear the saying religion has been the cause of most of the wars. I say it was greed and hatred but that is another post.

Mass murder in the 20th century was made possable by gun control and genocide was responsable for more deaths in that one century alone than all the combined wars of history. Governments killing their subjects.

I deeply regret the deaths brought on in the U.S. by a few gunmen out to harm individuals going about the joys of day to day life. However chaos theory seems to be at work in the American way of life. We are drifting further from the intentions of our founding fathers. When university professors rewrite history and tell us history is whatever they say it is then we are in trouble.

History tells us what our path in the future will be like if we only take time to learn from it. Some professors are teaching that the concentration camps of Germany never happened. Do research on gun control in other countries for yourself. Learn what history has to tell us.

    To be continued....

    Cool

As I was an adult at the time, I vividly remember the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, which led to what became known as the June 4th Incident when the Chinese army murdered thousands of their own people who were peacefully protesting for freedom.

Before the massacre the protestors numbers had reached a million. I was well into my career as an armed professional and I remember thinking to myself back then, "Wow, a MILLION people demanding freedom. Imagine if each one of those people had a rifle with several hundred rounds. Imagine if they had a military leader who organized them in the ways of guerilla warfare. Hell, they'd have a good chance, a real good chance."

Sort of like a little thing known as the American Revolution when men who viewed freedom to be more important than life itself suffered terribly but in the end defeated the most powerful land army in the world at that time.

Of course the reality was the Chinese freedom protestors were unarmed and beginning on June 4th, 1989 thousands were shot down in the streets of cities all over China. Thousands more were arrested, imprisoned, and executed.

History has taught us time and time again, those in government power do a whole lot better when ruling over an unarmed populace.
    Just ask King George III.

    Default A short thought

Many of the greatest leaders or at least the most effective led by example. Jesus, Hatma Gandi, Dietrich Bonhoeffer spring to mind. As elected officals the people tasked with leadership in this country are servants of the people. If someone that you have placed in office suggests gun control ask them if they are leading by example.

He or she has given up their right to keep and bear arms right? They have made sure that all of their staff has done the same. They have disarmed their security teams and they allow them to carry only what they think is correct for the average citizen. They should also have to pay for their own security out of their own pocket. When they become our equals in the degree of vulnerability that we all face from the madmen of this world then we will talk. Till then putup or shutup.

Come to think of it I would like for members of the media that shouts GUN CONTROL to spend 8 hours on the street of my choosing by his or her self and see if they think the people who they encounter would change their life because of gun control.

The fact that after a purge the intelligensia is eliminated should be understood by all the wise-*** college kids and adults. When I pointed this out to a friend some time ago, there was a great pause. It's been a long, hard road but the former staunch democrat/liberal is going to be voting differently this time.

    Default Armenia and the Ottomans

The leaders of the Turkish goverment begain to deport and murder Armenians living in the crumbling remains of the Ottoman Empire. This occured in 1915 by the early 1920s the murders and forced marches had killed about 1.5 million out of a population of about 2 million Armenians. It is still illegal in Turkey to discuss what happened to the Armenians.

The Armenians had occupied that region for about 3000 years. They were industrious hard working and intelligent. They were also the first Christian nation. For those of you who were never told "the rest of the story" the Ottoman empire was muslim.

The Young Turks in charge of the country and who led the genocide did not hate because they were Christian they were envious of the Armenians because of their prosperity. The Armenians were even taxed at a higher rate.

Armenians had their children kidnapped and forced into islam, wives and daughters were kidnapped and raped. A number of women were forced into slavery or placed into service in harems.

It was only in 2010 that the U.S. recognized that this was genocide.

Some in the liberal media would probably brand me an islamaphobe. To me a phobia is an irrational fear of something....lets say a fear of marshmellows. My reply would be my fear is very rational considering islams track record and their desire to hide their mayhem.

Yep, dictators don't want free-thinkers of any kind around, even those "useful idiots" who helped put them in power. It's amazing how some who are so academically intelligent can also be so reality-ignorant.
