    Non-voters as well as those who vote to retain the current administration not only will have no right to whine (they will have paved the way so that we all will have fewer and fewer rights in regard to anything), they will be responsible for the dissolution of the United States Of America.

    John F. Kennedy in a speech at Rice University stated-

    "We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.

    It is for these reasons that I regard the decision last year to shift our efforts in space from low to high gear as among the most important decisions that will be made during my incumbency in the office of the Presidency."

    If JFK were a man of our time instead of 50 years ago he would be addressing our energy needs. If his speech were given today it might go something like this: We choose to become a supplier of energy to the world instead of a consumer. We will utilize all of our scientific resources to acheve this goal. The results have the potential to change the world. We will develop energy sources that will be affordable to all Americans. By utilizing the best minds of this country we will discover safe renewable energy. In the process we will put our citizens to work not only in research but in the overhauling of our very infrastructure.

    Our great centers of science from MIT to Oak Ridge, the resources of NASA, to Cal Tech will have their roles to play and their contributions to make. The results will give us varied, inexpensive and practical solar, wind, geo, and tidal sources of energy. There will likely be discoveries made that today would seem like science fiction. We will reduce energy costs to all Americans through the economics of scale and research and development. There is no one solution to the energy problems we face yet the answers can be found by concerted effort amoung the great minds of this country.

    Furthermore the results of this research will be used as a tool to directly improve the lives of every citizen. Local governments will be given ownership of the solar fields, the wind turbines and other developments with the mandate to provide energy for all citizens. In this way we will lift up those in need. Reduced heating and cooling, and clean energy for transportation will help to narrow the gap between those with much and those with little. There will be reduced costs associated with goods and services. When the lives of the poorest of our citizens are improved we all benefit.

    Energy will become the new way to acheve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Energy can become the tool for social change. With reduced energy costs for schools more funds can be directed to teacher salaries and development of academic programs. Farmers costs to produce food will be reduced and our ability to transport and distribute that food will see a cost reduction.

    Improving energy storage technology will allow us to reduce our dependence on foreign fossel fuels. At the same time we will return our planet to a healthy state and reduce emmisions affecting the very life of our world.

    The United States of America will take the lead in this energy revolution as we have taken the lead in many scientific and manufacturing revolutions of the past.


    What if we had a president with a new vision equal to that of JFK?

    What if we had a president that could do the hard thing of leading America into the future? Instead of pointing to the past and saying look at the mess I have been handed they point to the past and say look what we can do.
