Icon6 Best States for Gun Owners 2013

Two years ago we moved from the very gun-friendly north country of far northern New England to the southwest. High on our priority list was that the state we moved to was just as gun-friendly. Well, I have to say it, just once, "We're Number One!".

States can score a maximum 10 points per category, with a perfect score of 50. Full disclosure, though: No state attained that perfect score, though two states came awfully close.

As was expected, Washington, D.C., kicked off our list with a whopping zero points, and other anti-gun Meccas such as New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and California weren’t far behind.

Topping our list of pro-gun states were Arizona, Vermont, Alaska, Utah and Kentucky.

I would have thought Florida would have ranked better than 12th...but I will take that. Our problems are the libtards in the southern part of the state!

What really impressed me about the rankings is that a mere 4 points separated 1st place Arizona, 49 points, from 15th place Texas, 45 points. That's 15 really gun-friendly states to choose from for someone wishing to relocate and escape from any one of the gun-ban bubbles here in the USA.

If you're in one of the top 25 I'd say you're still doing okay. Even at 25th place Wisconsin scored 44 points.

The country as a whole has improved greatly for gun owners in the last two decades and I for one don't want to surrender one inch of the gained ground we fought so hard for politically.

...and one way we as a community can help other states is promote NRA membership! I am also an NRA recruiter, so if any of our members has a recruit, I can give them a $10.00 discount on a one year NRA membership. Have them go to my website, www.nwfft.com, select my "links" page and the first link is a direct membership registration for the NRA.

I like what the pro-gun folks in Missouri did. Maybe we should do the same here in Florida with our Legislature, have a law where if you propose anti-gun, anti-2nd Amendment laws that you go to prison. And for anti-American activities, which is my idea.

And what you said about the libtards in souht Florida is 100% correct. Once again, "Obarry" carried Florida because of those liberal idiots in Palm Beach, Broward, & Miami-Dade counties.
