Fun gun for sure. Get them while you can find them because they are not making them anymore. i've been thinking about it and my 11yo son can't stop drooling over it every time he sees it at the shop. They are going for about $480 here. Seriousley thinking about getting one for both of us to shoot. He's got a Henry youth lever coming for his birthday this year so he'll just flip when I bring him to pick this one up.

Tell your son if he gets it, that a guy in Tennessee is jealous of him!

Plinking with a .22lr is cheap and a lot of fun, plus just looking cool doing it is a bonus. Great looking .22, wish I had one.

I've seen MP5 replica BB-guns before. You can get those in full auto and everything The .22 would definitely still be fun! Tell your son that the guy in Arizona is also jealous

Well the GSG is on the back burner for now. We decided on a Hi-Point 995TS. We'll be picking it up on Thursday. This is one sweet 9mm carbine...and cheap too. fun for the whole family.

    Fun looking gear.

I had determined about 6 months ago, that I simply had to shoot more. But, the trouble was....I had rat-holed the larger calibers for......whatever comes and didn't want to use it. Further, that stuff was just too expensive.

The answer? A .22. An older Ruger 10/22 carbine dropped in a folding stock tactical with a tear-drop 50 round drum. And, the Italian-built Chiappa, a 1911 knock off. I'm still testing ammo. I'll review the pistol when there are more rounds through it. As I understand it, the pistol is pretty new to America

At any rate, it was interesting to see the GSG-5 and others. Thanks

I went to a gun show yesterday at the Tucson Convention Center here in town, and I saw the GSG-5 at one of the booths! It was very cool. Pictures definitely don't do it justice. It was kind of heavy, but definitely looked like it would be a lot of fun to shoot. The guy was asking $600 for it. Oddly enough, almost every booth was asking slightly above MSRP for their new in box guns. For example, the Colt Defender's MSRP is $800. There was a booth asking $965. Granted it had an extra magazine, but I am positive that an extra mag is not worth $165 Anyways, the gun show was fun! And this gun is Freakin' Awesome!

One of my shooting buddies has one....lots and lots of fun. The only drawback I could find is the reloading of the mags takes away from the shooting fun. Need more mags!
