I started out carrying a GL23 in .40 cal. Now I carry an EMP in 9mm. I switched because the EMP is easier to conceal, not because of the caliber, because I liked the .40 cal. round.

    Primary Carry

I am a huge XD fan because they fit my hand so well, therefore my primary carry is an XD 9sc. I also switch and sometimes carry my XD45 acp.
    I prefer the 9mm because of the 16rd.magazines. I always have 16 +1 loaded
and another 16rd.magazine in my pocket.

i started out with a kimber .45 but that got passed to my wife because i needed something more concealable for work. that led me to buy a
Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm. it seems to be the most concelable gun this side of a derrenger. I hope to be buying a 357 magnum revolver early next year.

I know that no caliber is guarenteed to do the job every time but i prefer
45acp, 357mag, etc cause i figure bigger cant hurt my chances:)

[note- I wound up going with a fullsize 9mm -go figure 10-25-09]

Either a Kimber Ultra Carry II .45 or an XD sub 9mm.

Used to carry the .45 cannons all the time, but as I got older and smaller 9mm (like the EMP) came along, I went to something lighter and faster, especially with the advanced stopping power of some rounds in that caliber.

I still love the Government .45's and are the car and house guns. There is also the issue of what a .45 blast in a closed car would do to your hearing.

The .45 is the order of the day in South Texas.
