Taurus is really coming on as a concealed carry specialist company. I'm impressed with the specs on the Millennium PRO. I came really close to getting the 140 a few months or so ago but I currently shoot .380, 9mm and .45 ACP. I just don't need another caliber in the arsenal. And then the redesigned 709 Slim (9mm) started showing up in stores! I liked those specs even better. Just last week, Acadamy had the 140 on a rebate sale that put it below $300.00. This week it is $329.00 here. For the money, that is hard to beat!

So many choices and so little money.

I've owned them for more years than I like to think about. A PT99SS was my duty gun in S. Fla in the "old days" - and it saved my life more than once.
Don't care much what brand you get, someone will have a problem w/ it. The older ones could be a little finicky about what you fed them - but so do a lot of 1911s. The customer service has always been better than most (the few times I've needed them).
I own several, and trust any of them for daily carry.

Thanks for your input Howard. I am looking forward to the time when I can shoot the semi autos, I have heard good things about them.

I have owned two different Taurus revolvers in the past, I put them in the same class with Charter Arms, when a gun does not go bang it is called a club. I have tried twice with taurus and once with Charter, and had purchased three clubs!
