Default Experience with HK P-30 And Sig Equinox, Both .40 cal

A shooting bud from out of town is picking one of the above pistols, and will shoot both on Friday.

I have no experience with either.

    Comments welcome.

Hi guys and gals. Just thought I'd bring this on the board one more time, thinking some may not have seen it. My bud will shoot both tomorrow and call the shot.

    Thanks,

    Rossi

I'm not familiar with either, will look forward to your report...

There's no real "wrong" choice here. Both are great pistols. It'll come down to personal preference. I've shot the Sig P229 Equinox, but never the HK P30.

For me, I'd go with the Sig due to much better sights. The new Sig P229 Equinox comes standard with Fiber Optic Tritium sights that are awesome in bright daylight as well as low light, while the HK's are standard white 3 Dot.

    Good Luck,

    Jim

Jims comment is much better than mine...

I was just going to point out that if Jesus needed a gun he would carry a SIG P226 Equinox.

It has got to be the best looking gun i have ever seen.

If you are talking about the P229- it's nice too.

Not really what you asked for but i am pretty enthusiastic about this gun so i got all giddy and had to comment.
