    Icon6 2nd IDPA Match

Well I have now shot my second IDPA local match. I scored 68% on my first match (not very good), but even though I have not seen the scores yet, I know that I increased my % on my second match. If you have never shot an IDPA match, you should, because it is great FUN and a great skills builder. If you go into it with the attitude that you are competing against YOU, there is nothing to fear and everything to gain. I am the worlds worst critique about ME, so I see the scores and try to improve...it can only help. I have videos from the match that I will try to post later.

What fun! I would love to do that, unfortunatly I live with a shooting "inhibitor"...but I'm working on him. I don't like to go to things by myself; however, if hubby won't go with me maybe I will just have to find a like minded friend to go with and leave him at home!

Amen, that's what it's all about, self-improvement and confidence building.

Start your own ladies range group or join one. It only takes two to get started. Trust me, there's plenty of women out there who feel the same way you do. They organize trips to the range, gun stores, training, private group instruction, etc.

And remember, shooting is the great equalizer, big or small, male or female, it doesn't matter. I know a lot of women who can torch a pistol course and quickly humble most men. So ladies, here's your chance to kick some male-butt.

I am fortunate to have taught my wife to shoot and we train togather at every range time or event...it is a great blessing...and we video the competition shoots and critique each other which makes us both stronger shooters.

Finally got the scores. I shot 87%, not too bad with two FTNs. My wife did out shoot me again with 91%.

Thanks for all my friends on ASD for the words. If you haven't tried IDPA and have a local organization, You need to try it. I was skeptical before my first match, but after one ...you WILL be hooked. It is a great skills builder and will develop good friendships! Thanks all for the good words.
I will post on my next match.
