I agree that we can refrain from supporting a communits's entertainment and, in the end, so what if we don't ever see a particular movie? Will it really change out lives? The logical answer is, of course, no. I have to admit that we only go to the movies maybe once or twice a year.........and I can see that I'm not up on who a lot of these Hollywood types are, aside from some of the obvious. I have, however, become more and more aware of who the pro-2A people are in that business and admire them for their courage in speaking out. They're really putting it on the line.
I think an important factor in cases like the GE thing is not only to avoid buying their products but also not investing in their stock, etc. (This can be tricky sometimes with things like mutual funds that contain a mish mash of all kinds of stuff.) We dumped a mutual fund years ago that contained GE when it became know that they were supporting rogue nations like Libya. There are a number of companies on our boycott list for a lot of reasons.
You're right, if we refuse to support our own principals, then we are finished and they have won.
