Default Ruger LCR ... finally got mine

when i bought a handful of front sight memberships in Feb. 2011, part of the bonus was to get a free Ruger LCR .. finally got it after ten months but have to say that it is a very nice revolver. Going shooting with Michael tomorrow and we can test out the new handgun and let you know how it works out. At 13 oz. it sure is light weight and seems easy to conceal, a five shot 38 special and +P, it looks like it would be a good Bug.

well heck, I thought you meant that I was a cutie too ..now my feelers are hurt ..but yeah the Gun is cute to ... thanks alot Rosemary, kinda
By the way, i was pretty impressed with the little 13 oz handgun, clearly well made, pretty accurate and very simple to use and my lady friend Cookie was able to shoot it very well even though she is generally not a shooter ... so I think it will become the new bedroom gun mostly for her availability but I would not hesitate to use it as a back up anytime.. Ruger LCR is well recommended by me now.

They do have a degree of fit and finish that the Kel-tecs dont come close to. Any thoughts of attaching a crimson trace?

Well to be honest Decline, I dont have any handguns with the crimson trace laser, I think they are pretty cool but I guess I am kinda old school and never pull the trigger unless I see that I have a target rather than rely on a lasor to tell me that I am on target. however I do have lazers on several of my close quarters carbines where I have the sights set to one hundred yards and use the lazer for much closer targets ..not sure why I have them on carbines but not on handguns .. guess you have made me give some more consideration to the idea of putting a crimson trace grip on at least the little LCR ..not a bad idea actually.... so many good ideas and so little time to do it all

Generally speaking, I dont like spending money on a laser sights unless the guns stock sights are lousy and permanent. Even then I don't rely on them since they are useless in daylight. When practicing I shoot with the laser on maybe 10% of the shots. The laser is an enhancement not a replacement for a sight picture. When using them I look down the sights at the red dot. I find It adds a bit of accuracy in low light situations with lousy sights.
Crimson trace makes a sweet little laser for the LCP.
